On the morning of December 11, 2025, Detective First Grade Michael Greaney of the New York City Police Department was on his way to work when he encountered an unusual and urgent situation. At approximately 8:45 a.m., while traveling along the Bronx River Parkway, he noticed a black BMW moving at high speed along the shoulder of the road.
