Veteran actress and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Dee Freeman, known for her roles in Sistas and The Young and the Restless, has died at 66 after a battle with stage 4 lung cancer, her family confirmed.

Born in Louisiana, she served in the United States Marine Corps before building a long career in television, appearing in series such as Seinfeld, The X-Files, and Dexter.
