Following the investigation, a daycare employee, Yvette Thurston, 54, was arrested. Authorities reported that she faces multiple charges, including first-degree child abuse and aggravated battery.
A judge set her bond at $44,000. According to public records, she was later released after posting bond.

Clay was taken to Memorial Hospital and Manor, where he received medical treatment for his injuries. Doctors addressed swelling, bruising, and cuts to his face.
